今年是佛曆 2562 年，在漢傳佛教的習俗裏面，每年陰曆四月八日為浴佛節。
相傳釋迦摩尼佛悟道當下曾道出一言：「奇哉！奇哉！大地眾生皆有如來智慧德相，只因妄想執著而不能得。」
此話闡明人人天生皆具佛性，因此每年應有一日專為浴佛，洗滌身心、反省自過，最終回歸如來本性。數千年後的今日，東非小國馬拉維也飄放佛陀坐蓮之花香。
院內孩童與馬拉維職工男女眾、中國與印度商賈之善男信女共聚東淨佛堂，誦經浴佛。
當日晚餐時間亦舉辦五月及六月壽星的生日晚會。

Heuer ist das Jahr 2562 vom buddhistischen Kalender. Am jeden 08. April des Mondkalenders ist das Fest der Buddha-Waschung auf dem Brauch chinesisches Buddhismuses. Die Hauptinhälte des Festes sind die Seelewaschung und die Sünden sich selbst zu prüfen. Da kam es auch so viele Chinesen und Inden. Die Religion ist über Staaten.
Am Abends hatten wir auch eine Geburtsparty für die Kinder, die am Mai und am Juni Geburtstage haben..

2019 A.D. is also the year of 2562 in buddhistic calendar. In chinese buddhism, every 8th april in the moon calendar is the day of Buddha's birthday. People will celebrate it by pouring water on the Buddha-shaped sculpture. The main goals for this festival are engaging sins and heart clearing. Besides our kids and malawian staff, the other chinese people and indians had also joined this festival. The religion is beyond nations.
We also had held a birthday party for the kids who have birthdays in May and in June.
